The ultimate treasure hunt: Find a signed jersey in The Great Save!

31/03/2025

If you love a good op-shop treasure hunt, then you’re going to love The Great Save! As part of this exciting campaign with Professional Footballers Australia, we’re giving footy fans the chance to score something truly special, official A-League and National Soccer team jerseys, signed by some of the biggest names in the game, hidden in Salvos Stores across the country.

This isn’t just about finding a one-of-a-kind piece of sports memorabilia, it’s about celebrating the power of reuse and sustainability. Every item sold at Salvos Stores helps keep quality products in circulation, reducing waste and supporting The Salvation Army’s vital community programs. And now, with Our Great Save, you might just walk away with a piece of sporting history (for free)!

How it works

From 5 April, we’re carefully placing signed jerseys in selected Salvos Stores around Australia, waiting for lucky shoppers to discover them ahead of the Green Games (11-13 April). Keep an eye out on our Instagram (@SalvosStores) for hints! Whether you’re browsing through the racks for your next vintage find or looking for a wardrobe refresh, you could stumble upon an incredible signed jersey.

Why it matters

The Great Save is more than just a game, it’s a reminder that every purchase at Salvos Stores contributes to something bigger. By choosing preloved, you’re making a great save for both your wallet and the planet. Plus, every dollar spent helps fund life-changing programs for Australians in need.

Keep the momentum going! While you're visiting Salvos Stores, remember that donating responsibly is just as important as shopping sustainably. We rely on quality donations to keep our stores stocked with great finds. Before donating, ask yourself: Would I give this to a friend? Clean, good-condition clothing and homewares help us make the biggest impact. When we all donate responsibly, we keep usable items out of landfill and ensure they go to someone who truly needs them.

Get involved

The jerseys will be out there from 5-13 April, so what are you waiting for? Head to your nearest Salvos Store, keep your eyes peeled, and be part of The Great Save. And if you find a signed jersey, don’t forget to share your win on social media and tag @SalvosStores and
@thepfa with #TheGreatSave #ChangeForTomorrow to spread the word.
