Score a Goal for Good with The Great Save and Salvos Stores

12/04/2025

This weekend, Salvos Stores is teaming up with the Professional Footballers Australia on The Great Save to make a big impact both on and off the field. We’ll be hosting donation stands at a number of A-Leagues matches, giving footy fans across the country the chance to donate quality preloved clothing and accessories to support the work of The Salvation Army and keep good stuff out of landfill.

Every donation plays a part in building a more sustainable future. In fact, Salvos Stores helps divert millions of items from landfill every month, giving them a second life and helping to fund vital community programs.

If you're heading to a game, bring along any clothing or accessories you no longer need and look out for the red donation bins at these matches:

Friday, 11 April – AAMI Park (Melbourne)

  • A-League Women: Melbourne City FC vs Newcastle Jets — Kick-off 4:50pm
  • A-League Men: Melbourne City FC vs Brisbane Roar FC — Kick-off 7:35pm

Together, let’s turn donations into real-world impact for people, for the planet, and for future generations.
