West Dapto Catholic Cemetry: The Early Families 2 Volumes by Wendy and Terry Nunan
2 hardcover books in very good condition
"West Dapto Cemetery is one of the oldest cemeteries in the Illawarra, and as such the biographies of those buried there-in tell the tale of much of the development of the local area from the earliest days of European settlement. The headstones that survive from the mid-1800's are admired by visitors but they provide but a partial glimpse of the early pioneers. Given that there was no burial register for the cemetery's first 110 years of use, and the fact that our initial research had identified some 300 individuals who lie there-in in unmarked graves, the opportunity to explore and document this burial ground was too great a privilege to ignore."
The Foreword is by Bishop Brian Mascord, the Bishop of Wollongong
